Alan T. Villavicencio, MD

About

Dr. Alan Villavicencio is a highly experienced specialist and one of only a handful of surgeons in the country with dual neurosurgery and orthopedic spine training. He received his medical degree from Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, and completed his residency at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Villavicencio went on to complete a fellowship in orthopedic spine surgery at Cedars- Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.

Dr. Villavicencio has extensive experience in minimally invasive surgery for treating a variety of spinal conditions — including with the Mazor XTM Stealth robotic guidance system — and complex reconstructive spine surgery, ranging from degenerative disc disease to scoliosis. Dr. Villavicencio also treats brain disorders, including all types of brain tumors, and performs up to 500 operative cases each year.
