Physician Bio

Vitale Battaglini Meertens, MSN, MBA, FNP-C is a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner
with a specific focus on electrophysiology. Vitale joined Boulder Heart
in 2018, and she cares for patients with cardiac arrhythmias and a wide
array of issues related to the electrical system of the heart.

Prior to joining the team at Boulder Community Health, she worked as the
Director for Cardiology and Imaging Services at a local area hospital.
She also has extensive experience caring for patients in the intensive
care units, cardiac specialty units, and outpatient settings throughout
her career.

Vitale is a Boulder native. She returned to her hometown in 2014 after
completing her graduate degree and working at Stanford Health Care in
Palo Alto, California.

She draws from her own experience as a lifelong cardiac patient to provide
supportive and compassionate care to her patients and their families.
Her goal is to empower patients in our community to live their best quality
of life by presenting evidence-based patient education and providing individualized
options for management of acute and chronic cardiac conditions.

Outside of work, Vitale enjoys hiking, jogging, reading, and riding her
electric tandem bicycle around town. She spends most of her free time
with her close-knit family and her four adopted pets.
