Dr. Blomquist received his undergraduate degree from Wheaton (IL) College,
and his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, graduating
in 1991. From 1991 to 1992, he did his internship in internal medicine
at The Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He then completed his radiology
residency at the Pennsylvania State University Hospital (Milton Hershey
Medical Center) from 1992 to 1996, serving as chief resident his final
year. In 1997, he did a Body Imaging fellowship at the University of Colorado
School of Medicine, earning a subspecialty in Cross-Sectional Imaging.
Dr. Blomquist joined as an associate with Boulder Radiologists, Inc. in
1997 and became a partner in 2000. Dr. Blomquist enjoys the diversity
of this private practice and his interaction with BRI’s subspecialists
and the medical staff at Boulder Community Health's campuses.
Dr. Blomquist is board certified in diagnostic radiology. He is a member
of the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North
America, the Colorado Radiological Society, the American Roentgen Ray
Society, and the Boulder County Medical Society.He has served on a variety
of hospital-based committees at Boulder Community Health, including the
Trauma Services Committee, the Medical Executive Committee, and the Clinician
Health and Well-Being Committee.
Dr. Blomquist and his wife and children count it a true privilege to be
here in Colorado. His interests outside of work include mountain biking,
hiking, golfing and alpine skiing.
