About

Physician assistant Eric Busch has over two decades of experience in managing neurosurgical patients in the ICU, emergency, inpatient, outpatient, postoperative and surgical settings. He received his physician assistant degree from Weill Cornell Medical College in New York City, and, in 2001, became a certified physician’s assistant (PA-C) and surgical board certified.

Eric has been with Boulder Neurosurgical and Spine Associates as a PA-C since 2002. As an experienced neurosurgical PA, Eric has assisted with more than 2,000 surgeries associated with brain and spine disorders. He also provides training, education, leadership and mentoring to new PAs. His passion for improving the lives of his patients drives his continued and active involvement in multiple research studies related to spinal pathology and potential treatments.

He made his decision to pursue a medical career after working as an outdoor educator at the Teton Science School in Wyoming and as a medical volunteer in Nepal. An outdoor enthusiast, Eric enjoys sailing in the Caribbean with his friends and quality time in the mountains with his family and two dogs.
