Michael Jefferies Will Lead Technology Team in Providing a Better Patient
In an ongoing drive to provide innovative high-quality care to the greater
Boulder community, Boulder Community Health is proud to welcome industry
leader Michael Jefferies to the key role of Chief Information Officer.
Jefferies comes to BCH from Longmont United Hospital (LUH), where he has
served as Vice President of Information Systems since 2013. He joined
LUH in 2011 as Director of Applications, where he led that organization’s
achievement of Meaningful Use targets and was responsible for implementation
and oversight of all applications.
“Michael has a strong grasp of the evolving direction of health care
and the foundational role that information technology can play in health
care systems,” says Robert J. Vissers, MD, MBA, FACEP, President
and CEO of BCH. “He brings extensive leadership experience in all
aspects of health care IT, and has demonstrated particularly impressive
success in aligning IT development with organizational strategy.”
Recognized at LUH for his effective leadership and for building project
teams that truly engage employees, Jefferies is a great match for BCH’s
dedicated and talented IT team, Vissers says.
"As a long-time resident of Boulder County, I have always admired
the excellent work that BCH does to serve our community. I'm excited
to join an innovative organization that shares my belief that technology
can help deliver on the promise of higher quality care and a better patient
experience," says Jefferies.
