Pat Dimond, Director of Volunteer Services, was born and raised in Leavenworth, Kansas, and is a graduate of Kansas State University. She moved to Boulder in 1975 and started working at Boulder Community Hospital four years later. Pat became active in volunteer services management in 1991 and assumed the position of director in 1995. In her busy role, she oversees more than 600 active volunteers and serves as hospital liaison with the BCH Auxiliary. Pat is a member of Colorado Healthcare Directors of Volunteer Service and the American Society of Directors of Volunteer Services, the national professional group. She is also a member and past president of the Boulder Luncheon Optimist Club. Pat is married and has three beautiful adult children. Lyn Erickson, Volunteer Coordinator, is the glue in the Volunteer Services Department. For the past seven years she has worked hard to help to keep hundreds of projects moving along. Prior to coming to Boulder Community Hospital, she worked with the Boulder Valley schools for ten years. Her background is in sales, advertising and marketing administration. Lyn is enthusiastic about her job because she loves people. She says she gets to work with people from 14 years old to 90 plus who all have smiles. "It's just simply GREAT!" she says. Dianne Bush, Departmental Secretary, has the notable distinction of being born at Boulder Community Hospital as were her two children and four grandchildren! Dianne spent many years working in law firms while also volunteering at the hospital. She explains that what drew her to the hospital was the great care and concern that her husband received here while undergoing open heart surgery. In 2003 she turned her volunteer experience into a part-time position as departmental secretary. Her passion is gardening and taking care of her home.
