Stephanie Somes, MS, PT, ATC

Physical Therapist

steph somes.jpgIn addition to being a certified athletic trainer, Stephanie is an experienced physical therapist, working with athletes ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics.  She gained much of her athletic training experience working for the Colorado Athletic Conditioning Clinic as the consulting athletic trainer for Gateway, Rangeview, Hinkley and Aurora Central High Schools.  She also worked as an Athletic Trainer for the University of Indianapolis and the University of Puget Sound.  Stephanie assists with a variety of Outreach Programs as an athletic trainer for the Boulder Center for Sports Medicine, as she continues her clinical rehabilitation work.  She also assists with athletic training at Boulder, Nederland, Fairview, Centaurus, Broomfield and Monarch High School.  Steph is in charge of coverage for various cycling events, FC Boulder Indoor and Outdoor tournaments, as well as the Firecracker softball tournament in July each year.  Stephanie received her B.S. degree in exercise science and her athletic training experience at the University of Puget Sound.  She received her master's degree in physical therapy at the University of Indianapolis.  In 1998 and 1999 Stephanie was selected to provide athletic training care for the Girls Sport International Basketball Team while they traveled through France and Spain.  She also was the head athletic trainer for the local semi-pro, Mile High Mustangs, women’s soccer team from 2001-2003.  Stephanie has played soccer for many years and was selected to the U-16 regional and National Team, the U-19 Regional Team, and the Colorado State Select Women's Team.  In addition to playing and coaching soccer, she enjoys skiing, hiking, and biking.
