Clinical Exercise Physiologist

Paul has been a clinical exercise physiologist with BCSM for over eleven years.  He moved to Boulder in 1996 after completing his master of science degree in exercise physiology at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota.  His graduate studies included research on overtraining and working with the U.S. Biathlon national team in Lake Placid, New York.

As a sports physiologist, Paul is interested in the role testing and prescription have in the diagnosis and treatment of athletes and active people.  His work has included administering exercise tests for performance enhancement and diagnostic purposes, coaching runners, designing and carrying out research studies, and developing new services to meet the needs of our diverse clientele. 

Paul is a runner, cyclist, skier, and avid traveler.
