Patty Tomlin, CSCS

Pilates Mat Classes Instructor

patty_tomlin.jpgPatty grew up in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, where she developed a lifelong love of sports and the great outdoors.  Years of skiing and athletic participation helped give her the physical and mental skills that she would later draw upon as a certified strength and conditioning therapist.  She first became interested in a career in sports medicine and rehabilitation while a member of the University of Colorado Ski Team. She received her bachelor of science degree in exercise physiology, with a minor in biology, from the University of Colorado in Boulder.  She has worked for Boulder Community Hospital treating orthopedic and sports injuries since 1986.  Her primary professional interest is the challenge of working with knee, shoulder, and back injuries.  She couples this interest with her work as a coach for the Boulder Nordic Jr. Racing Team and is working on her prerequisites for a certificate in the Pilates Method of body strengthening.  When Patty is not working at the Boulder Center for Sports Medicine she spends her time chasing her young son, competing as a runner, playing Ultimate Frisbee and tennis, skiing, and riding her tandem bicycle with her husband.
