John enjoys working with patients who have an active lifestyle. He is an avid age group triathlete and spends winters skate skiing. He lives with his family in Boulder County. John has extensive training and practice in spine and extremity manipulative therapy. "Regional interdependence is a primary focus of my treatment. This is the idea that an injured area is not only dependent on the health of local tissue but also on the health of regional structures. Shoulder problems can result from dysfunction in the thoracic spine, upper ribs, and neck, not just from the shoulder itself. Recent clinical research on regional interdependence is validating this treatment approach." Therapeutic exercise is also a primary focus. "Flexibility, strength, muscular endurance, and the bodies’ ability to stabilize and support itself for each individual’s demands is a must or tissue failure will occur." A thorough history and initial clinical exam is of utmost importance. From there a diagnosis is determined and treatment options, risks and benefits, and prognosis are discussed. John enjoys making therapy enjoyable and focuses on attaining each patient’s individual goals.

John currently sees patient at our Boulder location.  If you would like to schedule an appointment, please call 303-544-5700.
