Jeff Fleming joined the BCSM staff in 2006. He is a licensed physical therapist, certified athletic trainer, and certified strength and conditioning specialist. Jeff’s specialty is in the rehabilitation of shoulder and elbow injuries, with an emphasis in the overhead athlete. He performs medical pitching evaluations, the focus of which is preventing and improving the management of overhead throwing injuries. In addition to his interest in the shoulder and elbow, Jeff’s continuing education has focused on manual therapy and rehabilitation of the extremities and spine.
Jeff received a Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Exercise Science and Athletic Training from the University of Iowa in 2002. As an undergraduate student, Jeff worked with Division I level athletes for all sports, but spent most of his time assisting with medical coverage for the Iowa football program. Jeff continues to enjoy taking time away from the clinical setting to provide athletic training services for area high schools and local sporting events. Jeff received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Iowa in 2004. Prior to joining BCSM, Jeff worked for a privately owned outpatient physical therapy clinic in Coralville, Iowa providing physical therapy and athletic training services.
