Jason Amrich, PT, OCS, CSCS

Jason AmrichJason is a licensed physical therapist and certified strength and conditioning specialist who brings 8 years of diverse experience to the Boulder Center For Sports Medicine.  Originally from New England, Jason has been with the BCSM since 03’.  Jason started his career in physical therapy at the Harvard affiliated teaching hospital, The Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. He has worked in almost every practice setting that a physical therapist can.  Jason takes this “do it all” approach by specializing in treating all aspects of sports medicine and orthopedics.  He especially enjoys working with runners, cyclists, skiers, and snowboarders. 

Jason is himself an Expert level mountain bike racer and expert telemark/alpine skier.  He recently finished 14th in the 24 Hours of Moab Solo category and has plans to compete in other ultradistance cycling events.  When not in the clinic during the Winter he can be found skiing as he usually accrues 40-60 days of skiing per season either on the resort or in the back country. 

In addition to his busy caseload and recreational activities, Jason serves as the Chairperson for BCSM’s Research Committee and as the center’s Staff Representative.   Jason also sits on Boulder Community Hospital’s Physical Therapy Practice Council.  Jason is now turning his sights on attaining an advanced degree.  Jason plans on beginning his Doctoral studies in Physical Therapy in Spring 05’.
