Gait Analysis Team
Christy brings over 15 years of experience working with sport and orthopedic injuries. She has been with Boulder Center for Sports Medicine since the opening in January of 1998. She is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist, which allows her to provide personal training to her patients as needed.
Christy graduated from the University of Arizona in 1987 with a B.S. in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology. She then received her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1989. She then followed her dream of living in Colorado. Being in Colorado allowed Christy to pursue many sports recreationally. Christy currently participates in skiing, mountain biking, jogging, and volleyball. She enjoys camping and hiking with her husband and two children.
Since becoming a licensed physical therapist, Christy has focused her continuing education efforts on manual therapy and developing a strong understanding of lower quadrant biomechanics and orthotic fabrication. She currently performs biomechanical gait analysis for the Boulder Center for Sports Medicine. Her combination of athletic interests, clinical experience and education allows her to provide a more comprehensive treatment approach for her clients. Her greatest satisfaction is watching her clients achieve their goals of returning to their sport, obtain their running goals or complete task as simple as walking around the neighborhood with their kids or pets.
