Exercise Physiologist Gait Biomechanist Adam came to Boulder by way of New England. He grew up in New Hampshire playing soccer and basketball and competing in track and field. Soccer and Track continued through high school when cross country ski racing entered Adam’s athletic focus. After one year of competing in all three sports at Colby College in Maine, he decided to focus solely on cross-country skiing. After four years of training and competing at the NCAA Division 1 level, Adam went on to graduate school at the University of New Hampshire where he began coaching the Bowdoin College cross-country ski team. In addition to working as an Exercise Physiologist, Gait Biomechanist, and Coach at BCSM, Adam is the Head Coach for 8-13 year-olds of the Boulder Nordic Junior Racing Team. He also coaches masters athletes in cross-country skiing, running, and cycling. Adam competes in running and cross country skiing events, primarily marathon distance and longer. He enjoys running, skiing, biking, hiking, and canoeing with his wife and two dogs.
