Avery graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor’s Degree in Integrative Physiology in 2007. She grew up ski racing for the Eldora Mountain Ski Club and Crested Butte Academy where she competed in the Junior Olympics several times. Avery currently coaches the Alpine Ski Team for Nederland High School. In addition to skiing, Avery is an avid recreational cyclist.
Avery is the Biomechanics Technician at the Boulder Center for Sports Medicine, where she assists the physical therapists in performing bike fits and gait evaluations. In addition to these duties she schedules all of the patients for the Sport Science Department.
