We offer a free Joint Class that you should attend before your surgery. You will learn about:
Your medical team
Pre-admission and pre-surgery tests
What to do the night before surgery
Events that occur on the day of surgery
How to prevent complications from surgery
Preparing your home for your return after surgery
Medical supplies you may need after surgery
Rehabilitation after surgery
Resources for supplies and rehabilitation
Classes are held on Mondays from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m., in the 2 West Ortho Nursing unit (2nd floor) at Boulder Community Hospital located at 1100 Balsam Ave., in Boulder. The class is recommended for best outcomes. If you cannot attend call Pre-Surgery Testing at 303-440-2396 and request a DVD.
