 Board certified in family medicine, Dr. Cannell received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. He completed his residency in family medicine at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, HI, where he served as chief resident. He practices at Table Mesa Family Medicine in Boulder, Colorado, a group of family doctors serving Boulder County.
Prior to joining Table Mesa Family Medicine, Dr. Cannell served as a flight surgeon for the U.S. ArmySpecial Operations Aviation Regiment.
Dr. Cannell has special interest and expertise in the treatment and prevention of sports related injuries and illnesses. He integrates osteopathic manual therapy techniques and functional movement screening into his sports specific care.
Dr. Cannell uses a preventive medical care model in his practice and strongly believes in patient education and empowerment.
Dr. Cannell lives in Boulder County with his wife and two daughters. He enjoys mountain biking, trail running, triathlons and rock climbing.
