Dr. Hibbard received his medical degree in 1966 from Cleveland's Case Western Reserve University, where he also received the prestigious award "For Excellence In The Care Of Patients". Dr. Hibbard has been practicing family medicine locally since 1974. Previously, he worked as a physician in Kenya and as a Peace Corps physician in India. In 1980, he co-founded the Family Medical Center with his wife, Chris Hibbard, Ph.D. Dr. Hibbard prides himself on being able to treat all family members. His background includes specialty training in internal medicine, obstetrics-gynecology, geriatrics and he is board-certified in pediatrics. He has staff privileges at both Boulder Community Hospital and Avista Hospital. Dr. Hibbard and his wife are currently writing a book about end-of-life decision making. They have three children.
