Ms. Buggs received her B.S. in Nursing from the University of Colorado and attended Metropolitan State College’s Adult Nurse Practitioner Program. After graduation, she went on to serve for five years as a first lieutenant in the U.S. Public Health Service.
Prior to joining our practice, Inez worked for 30 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner for Clinica Campesina, a community health center in Lafayette that provides medical and dental care to low-income and uninsured individuals. She is a past recipient of “The Nightingale Award for Human Caring” which honors outstanding Colorado Registered Nurses whose contributions to the profession of nursing epitomize the philosophy and passion of Florence Nightingale.
Inez enjoys working with all members of a family, from infants to seniors, and especially likes helping teenagers. She feels her ability to connect to patients is a real strength, and that compassion, empathy and good listening skills enable her to develop strong relationships with patients of all ages. A native of Texas, Inez and her husband, Wilford, have been married for 52 years and have four grown children. In her free time, she enjoys studying the bible, tracing genealogy and growing vegetables. Community Medical Associates of Lafayette 401 E.
