Family Birth Center Tours Join us for a tour of the Family Birth Center before you come to give birth. We will show you the environment we offer on this "quick look tour" given the first and third Wednesday of each month. Due to the 4th of July falling on Wednesday, tours will be on 11th and 25th. If you are looking for more detailed information about the Family Birth Center including our policies & procedures, nursing support you will receive from our nurses and lactation consultants, and equipment that is available to help you achieve the birth you want, please attend the free "Getting To Know Us" class which includes a tour. In addition, tours are also offered during our variety of childbirth preparation classes. Fee: No charge. Pre-registration is required. Friday Afternoon Breastfeeding Club Join us for our very popular breastfeeding support group. This fun, informal, weekly group provides breastfeeding mothers an opportunity to ask a lactation consultant questions, weigh their baby, and connect with other breastfeeding mothers in a social atmosphere. It is intended for babies that are not yet mobile (it can get crowded and we don't want anyone to get hurt!) and their moms and her female support people. Fee: No Charge. Lactation Services Our team of Lactation Consultants is available for both inpatient and outpatient consultation that can help with a variety of breastfeeding concerns and challenges. Be sure to check with your insurance provider to see if these services are covered. If you want a consult while you are a patient, just ask your nurse. After you have gone home, you can schedule an appointment by calling our office at 720-854-7230. Please be aware that we cannot accommodate drop-ins for outpatient consults. Many questions about breastfeeding can be answered over the telephone. Please call us at any time during your breastfeeding experience: 720-854-7230. Electric breast pumps are available for both rental and purchase. Please call for availability and rates. Private Lessons For expectant families who have special needs that would be better met by one-on-one instruction, we offer several classes on a private basis. Private instruction can generally be completed in a shorter time period. Private classes are held at Foothills Hospital. If there is a medical reason that prevents you from traveling to the hospital, private classes can then be held in the privacy of your home. The following classes are available for private instruction: Childbirth Preparation (4-5 hours depending on need) Sibling Preparation for Attending a Birth (2 hours) Preparing for a Cesarean Birth (1.5 hours including a tour of the surgical suite when possible) Magical Beginnings Enchanted Lives (4-8 hours depending on the needs of the family)

New Mom's Group Come hear expert speakers address the many concerns of new parents, share with other new moms, and make new friends. The group is facilitated by a registered nurse specially trained in dealing with moms and babies. We will have a special speaker and will provide time for you to relax and socialize with other new moms.
