 After earning his BS in Microbiology from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Dr. Thompson completed his medical degree at the University of Colorado Medical School in Denver in 1983.
He subsequently pursued both his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Minnesota’s Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis. From 1986 to 1989 he was a Cardiology Fellow and Instructor of Medicine at Loma Linda University in
