Construction Starts on Anderson Medical CenterBoulder Community Hospital has started construction on the Anderson Medical Center, a major outpatient services facility to be constructed on the Foothills Hospital campus at Arapahoe and Foothills in east Boulder.
The 46,000 sq. ft., two-story Anderson Medical Center is scheduled to be completed in December 2012, and will house a cardiac center, outpatient surgery center, and offices for several medical practices, including Rocky Mountain Cardiology, Alpine Surgical, Alpine Urology, Boulder Neurosurgical and Spine Associates, and Charles Jones, MD and Susan Skaff Hagen, MD.
This new state-of-the-art facility is made possible by a generous $2 million donation by Boulder resident and Valleylab co-founder Bob Anderson and his wife, Sydney. The Anderson Medical Center is the latest philanthropic endeavor by the Andersons, who have supported health care, education and arts organizations across the country.
Boulder Community Hospital Foundation President Ron Secrist says, “The Anderson Medical Center is an important component of the BCH expansion plan. Over the next decade, we plan to transform the way health care is provided in Boulder County.”
