Full-Time Care and Support Sometimes life can get out of hand and you need help. When full-time, 24-hour care and support are needed, our inpatient psychiatric unit is a safe and effective place to turn.
Upon admission, patients are given an assessment and treatment plan which lays out a personalized path for care, treatment and return to the community. During hospitalization, a variety of resources are put in place for ongoing support and treatment. Patients and their families receive education concerning the patient’s diagnosis, medications and what help is available. Commonly treated diagnoses include: - Depression
- Bipolar disorder
- Schizophrenia
- Chemical dependency detoxification
- Obsessive-compulsive behavior
- Anxiety
- Post-traumatic stress
- Borderline personality traits
- Suicidal tendencies
Inpatient Program In a caring and safe environment the inpatient program provides: - Daily evaluation by a psychiatrist
- Medication assessment and evaluation
- Multidisciplinary therapy groups
- Assistance with identifying and practicing useful coping skills
- Family therapy and education
- Opportunities to transition to outpatient programs that are part of the patient’s discharge plan
- Education on diagnosis, medications and community resources
We recognize that admission to a psychiatric unit can create stress for the patient and his or her family. There is a Care Coordinator on duty seven days a week on the day shift to meet with families and answer questions.
