Outpatient Recovery Program

You never have to "use" again...

Our Recovery Program offers men and women a safe and compassionate environment to explore:

  • What it means to live a sober life
  • Coping strategies that support growth and independence
  • Understanding triggers and cravings that lead to relapse
  • Breaking the chain of addiction

Our program provides specialized treatment of addiction and dual diagnosis. You’ll receive skills, education and support to make positive change possible. Addiction is a disease affecting people of all generations, income, and environments. We provide a treatment program that addresses this disease and creates individual, family, and community support.

As you begin your treatment, the services you receive include groups that provide education, skill building, insight, and solution focused problem solving. Your treatment will also include weekly individual counseling and individual family counseling as recommended.

A significant component of the Recovery Program is the development of a strong support system. Family groups work to strengthen your closest relationships and to increase understanding of addiction. Outside groups (such as Alcoholics Anonymous and/or Narcotics Anonymous) establish a support network within the community.

Recovery Program Details

You receive 6 to 8 weeks of intensive counseling, support, and education.

Groups meet M, W, TH 5:30PM - 8:30PM.

Following successful completion, for your continued support, an “After Care” group meets on Tuesdays. After Care is a 1½ hour weekly group. We ask for a 12-week commitment but you are encouraged to stay for one year. After Care is not an insurance covered benefit and therefore produces an out-of-pocket expense for each group session.

Most insurance policies have benefits for intensive outpatient recovery treatment. We work closely with your insurance company to get you the treatment that you need. If you choose to do self-pay, prompt payment may result in a 30% discount. Contact the Patient Business Affairs office for details at 303-441-5744

If you have any questions or concerns, please call our 24-hour TLC Office at 303-441-0400, option 1.

Inpatient Psychiatric Unit

Full-Time Care and Support

When full-time, 24-hour care and support are needed for chemical dependency detoxification, our inpatient psychiatric unit is a safe and effective place to turn.

Upon admission, an assessment and treatment plan lays out a personalized path for care, treatment, and return to the community with a variety of resources in place for on-going support and treatment.

Inpatient Program

In a caring and safe environment the inpatient program provides:

  • Daily evaluation by a psychiatrist
  • Medication assessment and evaluation
  • Multidisciplinary therapy groups
  • Assistance with identifying and practicing useful coping skills
  • Family therapy and education
  • Opportunities to transition to outpatient programs that are part of the patient’s discharge plan
  • Education on diagnosis, medications, and community resources

We recognize that admission to a psychiatric unit can create stress for the patient and family. There is a Care Coordinator on duty seven days a week on the day shift to meet with families and answer questions.

Important Information

The Psychiatric Unit is accessed via an evaluation in one of Boulder Community Hospital’s Emergency Departments at either the Broadway or Foothills Campus.

Patients of the Mental Health Center of Boulder County should call 303-447-1665 to contact Emergency Psychiatric Services and arrange evaluation.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call our 24-hour TLC Office at 303-441-0400, option 1.
